Advantech Automation's new digital video
surveillance system, the VBOX-3200 series, is scheduled for release in June 2003. This new series of products is a 2U-high web-enabled 8/16-port Digital Video Server that offers a highly stable system, and the highest compression rate on the market to use MPEG-4 technology (up to 300:1) for faster on-line image transmissions. In addition, the VBOX-3200 series can supply an extremely powerful web-enabled video and audio surveillance that allows users to remotely monitor facilities through a web browser from anywhere around the world.

System Features
1. Supports the latest MPEG-4 Compression Algorithm.
2. Simultaneous image/video capture, record and playback.
3. Central surveillance management for up to 10 servers or 160 video
cameras at the same time.
4. Can be remotely monitored from anywhere at any time via a web
browser.
5. Supports Advantech ADAM remote I/O modules.
6. Provide ActiveX Controls for Integration with 3rd party applications,
including Advantech Studio web-enabled HMI software.

Surveillance Application Features
1. Provides multiple user-level settings.
2. Supports IP multicast transmission by Intranet.
3. Supports remote PTZ camera control.
4. Audio recording trigger based on sound sensitivity level.
5. Provides multiple recording modes including: motion detection, round the clock and schedule.
6. Allows remote playback; users can play or download selected video file directly from the remote site.
7. Supplies watermark function that prevents alteration or distortion of
record events.
8. Supports multiple data backup mechanism such as NAS, CD-R, DVD, MO and zip media.
